Logistics Controller

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To ensure that all materiel’s requirements are available in order to meet company project objectives. Ensure all necessary information and materials are provided at the right time, quantity and condition to support the manufacturing process.

MAIN TASKS (For all company products and Test parts)

Book materials into stock from purchase orders following goods receiving inspection.
Maintain all computerized stock records and physical stock locations and quantity counts.
Print all job cards as necessary to support the production process.
Issue materials to job cards for parts production and receive parts into stock from completed job cards.
Ensure all materials issue/receipt transactions are recorded on job cards and computer systems to maintain materials traceability.
Complete all necessary stock identification and movements between company departments and sites
Complete all necessary materials handling tasks within the site building.
Ensure all waste materials are removed from the site building and the goods receiving and assembly hall area are kept tidy.
Carry out all necessary documentation and packaging tasks to enable parts to be dispatched from site
Any other Logistics associated tasks as defined as necessary by the Logistics Manager.

Desirable skills and experience required

Materials data input and maintenance using an ERP & software tools for:
• Stock transactions for Goods receiving of materials/parts into stock
• Stores transactions for issues & receipts of materials/parts to/from job cards
• Shelf life & “out of freezer hours” management
• WIP & kit status tracking records spread sheet maintenance.
• Data input to Shop floor data collection system.
• Stock transactions and packaging for parts to be dispatched from site

Software use experience
• LN, SAP or equivalent ERP software
• Microsoft office (Excel, power point, word)

• Understands the importance of satisfying internal and external customer requirements in a timely manner.
• Focused on target completion and can work on a number of actions at the same time
• Demonstrates an awareness of the importance of quality control in an aerospace environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy of completed documentation.
• Able to communicate professionally both verbally and written with team members, other departments, suppliers, customers and management.
• Capable of suggesting different ways of working to achieve agreed results.
• A person who takes responsibility and ownership for allocated work strands and is focused on completing objectives.
• Experience of working in a team and understands how teamwork impacts on other departments
• Prepared to work over time to achieve business objectives
• Prepared for occasional travel from normal place of work on company business
• Driving license holder

Minimum Qualifications
• Educated to O level or equivalent standard
